Sworn deposition of James B. Park as to an event which happened at his home near Greensboro, Georgia in the late Spring of 1865. He tells of a Confederate soldier and his servant spending the night in hiding at the Park home, them being pursued the next morning by a group of Federal troops. The Confederate did not reveal his name, but Park's father was under the strong impression that he was Jefferson Davis. Signed by James B. Woodruff (a descendant of Joseph Woodruff) from Florence Sauls regarding the O'Neal plantation (MacIntosh County, Georgia), and an indenture, written in 1789, transferring 27 slaves and other goods to Susanna Graves and Ferdinand O'Neal, Joseph's son-in-law, as managers of his estate for Joseph's sons, George, Joseph, and James (typescript)

Six letters, written in Welsh, from Elias J. Prichard to his family between 1863 and 1864. Prichard served in the band of the 22nd Wisconsin Infantry Regiment. He was in the Atlanta Campaign, during which members of the band of his regiment were detailed to serve as nurses in the field hospital. Typescript copies of English translations of the letters accompany the originals. Also included is correspondence between Pritchard's relatives and Emory Libraries Special Collection, regarding the acquisition and translation of the letters, as well as material relating to Elias Pritchard's life
