Description / Abstract:
Recto: Light Carolina tobacco and dark Carolina babes; Verso: When farm hands haul their crop to market, the whole family often comes along. A basket of leaves affords a comfortable place to park their pickaninnies. Henderson, Aug 14, ... PM, 1942, J.N., It rained again today, but outside of that there isn't any news. It's usually cool in the morning and hot in the afternoons. I haven't worked real hard yet but probably will start next week. Tell everybody hello and I will write a letter when there is anything to write about. They took 65 boys for the army here yesterday. Love, George.
