- Description / Abstract:
- Verso: The President's April 7-11 trip to Jamaica and Barbados was planned as a vacation but he found it impossible to escape matters of state. The welcoming crowds were colorful and raucous. In brief meetings with six Caribbean leaders, he heard pleas for more U.S. aid to the troubled region. The President and his wife reviewed the honor guard at Bridgetown, Barbados; Nancy visited a hospital; and they renewed acquaintances with Hollywood friend, Claudette Colbert, at her Barbados hideaway. April 11, 1982. CL-RR. Ser. #62, SC18255 - Colorphoto: Mary Anne Fackelman, White House, Published by Coral-Lee, P.O.
