- Verso: The Colonial Room. The latch string is always out ... Come and enjoy delicious meals in a truly Colonial setting. Superb food plus reasonable prices have made the Inn one of the outstanding eating places in Northern Virginia. General Washington Inn in Fredericksburg, Virginia's most historic city. U1991, U. Ektachrome by Louis H. Frohman, Bronxville, N.Y. Fredericksburg, Va. Aug. 17, PM, 1965. Post card. 4c U.S. postage Lincoln. Talk about good food. This Inn really serves it! Gettysburg was wonderful. We drove over five hundred miles Sunday. Tomrrow we make Williamsburg. Irene. Mr. and Mrs. William Forest, Lond Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, Mass.
