Description / Abstract:
Verso: Senior Bishop C.H. Mason, founder of the Church of God in Christ. The Bishop Mason is very old and unable to stand the grind of the services which run continusculy, 24 hours a day, but is always present for the broadcast betwen 10:30 and 11 PM. Throughout the day he remains in bed reserving his strength to condu the strenious prayer at that time. The bishop often times starts out praying and it turns into song----if so the guitars and piano players pick up the rhythm and beat it out. The music outside of a few songs like Sweet Chariot sound like jazz. After his broadcast where he prays for the afflicted to be healed he retires to his office and there continues his prayer in private. Ref.
