The production under the artistic direction of Mr. Stuart Vaughan, The new scenery, special effects and appropriate costumes designed by Mr. Peter Wingate. The amazing lighting effects created by Miss Joan Larkey. Music and choral effects prepared for this production by Mr. Lee Hoiby and Mr. Jared Reed. with Miss Juliet Randall, Miss Bette Henritze, Miss Gerry Jedd, Miss Vinnette Carroll, with Mr. Franklin Cover, Mr. John Heffernan, Mr. Robert Blackburn, Mr. P. Jay Sidney, Mr. Ray Reinhardt, Phoenix Theatre, 2nd Avenue at 12th Street, Limited engagement four weeks only, Friday, Jan 27 through Feb. 26, 1961, Evgs. Tues. thru Sun. Orch. $4.60; Mezz. $3.45; Balc. $2.90, 2.30, 1.75. Mats. Sat. and Sun. Orch. $3.45; Mezz. $2.90; Balc. $2.30, 1.75. The box office is now open and tickets may be secured in person or by mail. Enclose self-addressed stamped envelope.; Verso: I've just seen (among other things); A slave sale, a lynch trial, the destruction of the stearner magnolia by fire, and the death of the assassin. All in all, it's been quite an evening. The Octoroon was written 100 years ago on the brink of the Civil War. As Americana, as drama, as theater, it's a delight. See it. I know you'll like it. P.S.
