Recto: Sergt. Rufus Pinckney of Baltimore, Md., 1st Separate Co., Who Captured 15 Germans and saved a French Officer's life; fought on the Champagne and Verdun, also Argonne Forest, who received three wounds and lost the sight of one eye. He wears two Croix De Guerres, the highest given by the French Government.
