- Recto: Dinah's Shack at Palo Alto, California, 1/2 spring chicken on toast - 50c; Verso: Dinah's Shack at Palo Alto, California, During 1928 over 200,000 guests were served an 111,882 milk fed chickens were consumed; 20 tons of Crisco were used to fry them; 696,960 biscuits (the bakeshop used over 200 barrels of Sperry Flour); 120,360 cups of individually percolated S & W Mell-ow-ed coffee; 39,338 combination salads; 118,656 portions of French fried potatoes and 14,405 straberry shortcakes during season, were enjoyed by satisfied guests. The kitchen, a model of neatness, is open for inspection at all times. A personnel and staff of 50 express the uniform courteous service that has necessitated increasing the seating capacity to 204 at the Palo Alto Dinah's Shack, Here is where we had our dinner Decoration day. And what do you think we had ... and everyone seemed to like it.
