- Recto: Colored Orphan Asylum, Riverdale-On-Hudson, N.Y.; Verso: The Colored Orphan Asylum, incorporated nearly 100 years ago, is obliged for the first time to appeal to the public for help. The unemployment and overcrowding in Harlem means greater demands on us. We cannot give the necessary care to these little dependent children without the financial help of the community.
