Description / Abstract:
Recto: A coon in the bananas, in beautiful Florida - F237; Verso: The banana is not a fruit of a tree but of a giant herb, which, in the tropics, attains the height of 40 feet and leaves of a foot wide and 6 to 10 feet long. A large flower bud of small, purple flowers appears, each flower developing into a small banana pointing upward. Fully as popular with the small darkie as the watermelon vine, the banana coaxes a smile from the little black boy, who pokes his kinky head through a large leaf. Wouldn't you like to pick a bunch of bananas off the tree like this boy? Made in U.S.A. by E.C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee, Wis. 8439 N, Post card, E.C.K. Co., Place stamp here
