- Recto: Turpentine farming near Valdosta, Georgia The Naval Stores Capitol of the World; Verso: Sour a lot of these trees (over) 8-4-52. Dear mother: Just crossed the Florida state line a few miles back. We stopped for gas so I thought I'd drop you a line. So far it's been a hot ride! I wish you could see all the scenery but believe the hot afternoons would be too much. Rudy just said Jackson [crossed out] St. Petersburg is 210 miles yet I'll write more then. Love Irna & Rudy.
