Description / Abstract:
Recto: Harvesting sugar cane in the Florida Everglades; Verso: Sugar cane is harvested by hand in the Everglades. With a few deft strokes of a machete in the hands of an experienced cane cutter, the cane is ready for loading and hauling in field wagons to railroad cars which transport it to United States Sugar Corporation's huge sugar house at Clewiston, Florida.
