Armstrong-Slater Memorial Trade School, Hampton Institute. Armstrong-Slater Memorial Trade School was opened in November 1896. It is a one-story brick building, on the plan of a quadruple cross, with an interior courtyard. Its extreme length is 278 feet and its width 220 feet. Its floor space of 26,000 square feet is divided into eleven rooms for the various trades. Raphael Tuck & Sons. Raphotype Post Card Series no. 2811, Hampton, Va.
