- פיפיפאקס | Pipifoḳs | Pee-pee-fox is a Jewish humor magazine in Yiddish, published in London and New York between 1899 and 1900. The collection includes all 84 (known) issues. Humorous and entertaining articles of various lengths are peppered with writings about serious and significant issues, such as the reporting of the French Jewish military officer Alfred Dreyfus’s trial in 1899. The magazine features black and white illustrations, which also accompany the numerous advertisements and include rebuses (puzzles based on a picture, based on which the reader is challenged to find the answer to a riddle).
