Description / Abstract:
Recto: Queens Staircase, Nassau, Bahamas, B8; Verso: The Queens Staircase with 66 treads cut in the solid rock, said to be the work of slaves, leads to the back of Fort Fincastle. Possibly the Fort was built of stone quarried from this spot. Most of the older houses in Nassau were built of this lime stone, Distributed by P.M. Lightbourn, Nassau, Bahamas, Tichnor Quality Views Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made only by Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston, Mass., Post Card, Place stamp here, 71824, made in U.S.A.
