Verso: Maj. Gen. F.E. Davison, 5-. Heidelberg, Sep. 21 --- One of the Army's Generals Davison officially welcomed the other to U.S. Army, Europe, and Seventh Army Headquarters here today. General Michael S. Davison, USAREUR and Seventh Army Commander in Chief, was the first to shake hands with Major General Frederic E. Davison, New USAREUR and Seventh Army Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, at an afternoon headquarters ceremony in the incoming general's honor. Major General Davison, promoted to Two-Star Rank last April 1, has recently completed a tour as Director of Enlisted Personnel with the former Chief of Personnel Operations in Washington, D.C. He finished an 18-month tour in Vietnam in May, 1969, where he was Assistant Commander and then Commander of the 199th Light Infantry Birgade. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in International Affairs from George Washington University and a Master of Science Degree in Zoology and Chemistry from Howard University. He is also a graduate of the Army War College and the Command and General Staff College. The Major General is married and has four children. USAREUR release no. 71-202, BT, 21 Sep./1608Z, NNNN
